My Biography
Gabriela Vargas-Cetina (Ph.D. McGill University 1994) is Senior Full Research Professor at the Autonomous University of Yucatan, Mexico. She has done research in Canada, Italy, Mexico and Spain on subjects related to organizations, including cooperatives, collectives, civic and ceremonial organizations, and music-related associations. She is currently doing fieldwork with local organizations in Seville, Spain. She is a Visiting Scholar at San Diego State University (2010 to date), and is a Level III member of the National System of Researchers of the Mexican Council for the Humanities, Science and Technology (SNI III, CONAHCYT).
