The American Anthropological Association (AAA) and the University of Amsterdam are now offering Better Research, Better Design by Erin B. Taylor and Melanie T. Uy in eBook and print formats. Written in clear and concise language, Better Research, Better Design provides companies with the strategic insight that will help build better research teams, resulting in stronger collaborations, better product/service design and, ultimately, more satisfied customers.

In only 31 pages, readers get a strategic and tactical template on how to move teams from low to high research maturity. It outlines four building blocks to help audit values, roles, teamwork, and communication, and includes stories, challenges, and lessons faced by solo practitioners working alone or embedded in teams in various departments.

Better Research, Better Design joins the AAA’s other books, including Perspectives: An Open Invitation to Cultural Anthropology, that are available for free electronically or in print at-cost. The release of this title marks the first in what will become a series of monographs aimed at the anthropologist in professional practice.

We want to express our concern for our members and colleagues in the potentially affected areas as we monitor Hurricane Milton. As we approach our Annual Meeting scheduled for November 20-23, we will keep you updated on any developments and how they may impact our plans in Tampa. In the meantime, we hope everyone stays safe and takes the necessary precautions.
