The Anthropology Day microgrant program offers small one-time grants to apply toward the cost of hosting an Anthropology Day event. Grant funding comes from small donations from the AAA community; click here to learn more or to make a donation.
Microgrants are intended to help Anthropology Day participants pay the costs associated with events that are tailored to their particular community. Sample costs include film fees, speaker honoraria, supplies, event snacks, and swag. Groups can apply for either a $50 or $100 grant.
Application and Evaluation
Please register your group for Anthropology Day prior to submitting your application. Then groups must submit a brief application to be considered for a microgrant. The online application will ask groups to detail their event plans, level of community outreach, and how receiving the grant will help them meet their goals. Successful applications will include a clear work plan and will show how microgrant funding will support the applicant in building or strengthening community relationships.
***We are no longer accepting Microgrant applications. The Microgrant Selection Committee will review applications and decide by January 26, 2024.
