Nominations & Elections

As of May 30th 12:00pm ET, elections are now closed.

Help shape the future of the American Anthropological Association by voting for the next leaders of the AAA Board and Nominations Committee. Your participation ensures that AAA remains strong, representative, and forward-thinking.

Membership types that are eligible to vote are Professional, Retired, Lifetime, and Student members.

Associate, Jr. Anthro, and K-12 members are not eligible to vote in the AAA elections.

  • To login to the voting platform enter your member email as your username and your AAA ID as your password.
  • You can find both by navigating to your member login, viewing your personal snapshot, and then scrolling down to membership.

AAA members will have the opportunity to elect candidates for the Executive Board and Nominations Committee. The final ballot, carefully curated by the Nominations Committee and approved by the AAA Board, includes two candidates for each position—each bringing valuable experience and vision for AAA’s future.

In addition to the main AAA ballot, members will also vote in elections for their respective sections. Members will see section-specific questions and leadership positions on their ballot. These section elections play a vital role in shaping the governance and priorities of AAA’s diverse communities.

Your vote matters! Take an active role in shaping AAA’s leadership by participating in the election.

Stay tuned for candidate details and make your voice heard.
