Carole H. Browner Latin American Studies Fellowship Fund for Travel (LASFFT)

A restricted need-based fund, made possible by a gift from Carole H. Browner, to be used solely for the purpose of supporting the travel for up to two graduate or undergraduate students from anywhere in Latin America to the American Anthropological Association (AAA) annual meeting. Selected students will receive paid registration to the annual meeting and partial reimbursement for travel to the annual meeting. Awardees must be a Student Member of the American Anthropological Association at least one month prior to the Annual Meeting.

Nomination Requirements

To be eligible for this award, an applicant must:

  • Be a citizen of any country in Latin America.
  • Be enrolled in any bona fide program anywhere in Latin America leading to a bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degree in anthropology at the time of application.
  • Have a record of outstanding academic achievement
