My Biography

Janet E. Levy (she/her) (AB, Brown University, Providence, 1971; PhD, Washington University, St. Louis, 1977) is an expert in archaeology. She has conducted research on the Danish Bronze Age at the National Museum of Denmark, Copenhagen, Archaic, Woodland, late prehistoric, and historic periods in the southeastern U.S. (Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina), and library-based research on ethics in archaeology and anthropology. Janet first attended the AAA Annual Meeting in 1971 in New York City.

While we remain deeply saddened by the devastating impact of the recent hurricanes in Florida and wish for a swift recovery, the Tampa Convention Center and the hotels hosting our Annual Meeting in Tampa from November 20-23 have confirmed they are "open and fully operational." We look forward to supporting the residents of Tampa and seeing you there, either in person or virtually. View a list of organizations accepting donations in Florida.
