My Biography
What first sparked your interest in anthropology?
I realized humans that are storytelling machines, shaping our very planet through rituals, habits, and social rules. Anthropology piqued my interest when I saw that by decoding these patterns, you can understand not just what people do, but why — and even glimpse how societies change.
How do you utilize anthropological skills in your current position?
Anthropology guides everything I do in nonprofit work. Understanding norms, communication, and reactions. With this, I design programs and processes for the people we serve and our team that align with real human behavior — not theory. Understanding people at this level turns ideas into action and friction into impact.
What tips do you have for the next generation of student anthropologists?
Stay curious, question your guts, and learn to observe without jumping to conclusions. Listen deeply, engage across cultures, and practice ethical research. Most of all, follow the questions that genuinely interest you. Do not let tough questions scare you — often, they’re where the best insights come from.
