My Biography
Most of my career has been spent in academic roles that don’t fit standard tenure-track faculty titles, and I’ve assessed the contributions of museum curators, staff archeologists, anthropologists in private practice, and media anthropologists both as a supervisor and for tenure files for a range of universities and programs. I’ve previously served for decades as a museum director at both freestanding museums and museums within university systems, and assessed scholarship associated with exhibition development, consultation with tribes and descendant communities, and development of scholarly databases and similar resources, and in my current role supervise and assess PhD-level archeologists in their public archeology, education, and scholarly roles. My nominal rank in Chancellor in the University of Arkansas System.
