Requests from AAA sections, interest groups, task forces or committees should include the following:
- Statement of purpose
- Description of relevant scholarship or scientific work based on research and/or practice
- Designation of representatives
- Designation of financial support for member representation
- Specification of focus of representation
- Plan of action (including observation, written and oral presentations if invited; special events, and planned meeting and conference attendance, timeline)
- Statement of agreement with established AAA EB policies (in particular, the Procedures for Advocacy and Policy Statements) with respect to preparation and review of written and oral reports to be presented at the UN
- Plans for reporting to EB
An individual member (or a group of individual members) of the AAA may request accreditation from the AAA for the purposes of attending the UN as (an) observer(s) (including for purposes of data collection) or participating in UN activities.
Requests for individual participation should include the following:
- Statement of purpose
- Description of relevant scholarship, or scientific work based on research and/or practice
- Designation of representative(s), including a c.v. and contact information for three references (students must also provide a brief letter from their supervisor); Designation of financial support for member representation
- Specification of the UN entity the applicant wises to engage with
- Plan of action (including observation, written and oral presentations if invited; special events, and planned meeting and conference attendance, timeline)
