Virtual High School Internship

Each spring, the American Anthropological Association offers virtual internship opportunities for high school students interested in learning more about anthropological research. The 2024 internship will run from May 20 to June 14.

Interns work on a primary and secondary project during their time in the program. The primary project involves researching contemporary anthropological scholarship and adapting it for a 6th-12th grade audience. Secondary projects rotate each year, but typically focus on accessibility or public education.

The 2024 application closed on April 26, 2024.

Questions about the internship can be sent to Daniel Ginsberg, Director of Strategic Initiatives.
