Dr. Schwerin has expertise in social-cultural anthropology and Latin America. Dr. Schwerin’s research includes ethnographic studies of Karinya Indians (northeastern Venezuela), socioeconomic investigation of hacienda systems in Canar, Ecuador and cultural survey of the Rio Platano Biosphere Reserve in Honduras.
